For model flying clubs
Who's looking after your club's website?
The member who built it moved on. It still says "Sunday mornings" and an email address. And the people who'd love to learn to fly can't tell when anyone's at the field.
Flying Clubhouse gives your club a site that's kept up for you, free, and brings new pilots out to the field on the mornings you fly.
Free for clubs. No ads. Built by a club member.
Come and see us fly. Have you flown before?
I'm new to flying I've flown beforeWe fly Wednesdays from 7:30 am and Sundays from 8 am.
Sound familiar?
What we hear from committees, and what it costs the club.
From "I'd like to try that" to standing at your flight line
Your site asks newcomers three easy questions, then the club messages them. You know who's coming before Sunday, so someone's there with the trainer and the buddy box.
- 1 "Have you flown before?" New to flying, or flown before. That's the whole first page.
- 2 Pick a flying morning Only the days your club flies, over the next two weeks.
- 3 Name, mobile, email A message from the club arrives straight away. Directions to the field follow, and your address never goes on the internet.
- Your committee sees Sam is coming Sunday New to flying, no plane yet, bringing a grandson.

The live wind at your field, on your site
Members check the wind before they load the car. Your site shows the wind at your strip from the weather stations nearest it, the favoured runway and a 4-day forecast, from rcairfieldweather.com.
It's the same wind display RAAID already has on its site.
From a member
If you got my email, your club's site is already built.
I'm Nic. I fly with RAAID at Haigslea, near Ipswich. Our site hadn't been touched in years, so I rebuilt it. Now new pilots can see when we fly, and tell us which morning they're coming.
I've done the same for your club, from what's on your current site: your flying days, your field, your committee, your forms and by-laws, plus the live wind at your strip. Have a look. If you'd like to use it, it's yours, and I'll keep it up for you. If not, I understand, and no hard feelings.

Your club's own look
Your name, logo, photos and colours. Three examples: a powered club, a slope soaring club and a country club.
What your club gets
Questions committees ask
Why is it free? What's the catch?
There isn't one. I fly too, and every club I know needs new members. Flying Clubhouse is made by Mocra, who build sites and booking for small businesses, and clubs get it free.
Do we have to move our web address?
No. Your site can live at a Flying Clubhouse address. If you have your own address, we'll help whoever looks after it point it to the new site, when you're ready.
Who changes things when the fees or the committee change?
Send us a message and it's done.
Who gets the visitors' details?
Your club, and only your club. They're for meeting visitors and sending your membership form. We never sell them or message them about anything else.
What if we don't want it?
Then reply "no thanks" and we'll take it down. Your current site isn't touched.
Claim your club's site
Tell us which club, and we'll message you the link to your site. If we haven't built it yet, we will.
Committee member or just a keen one? Either is fine. We'll check with your committee before anything goes live.
- Which club, and your part in it
- When you'd like to see it
- Who to send it to
We'll message you soon with the link. Free, nothing to pay.
